Feel like getting away from it all?  Picture yourself riding off into the sunset on a beautiful horse, winding through the Kinnickinnic River Valley. Located just a short drive from the Twin Cities (30 minutes), Kinni Valley Riding Academy, LLC features fabulous trail rides and clinics along the scenic Kinnickinnic River.  Whether you are an experienced rider or just riding for the first time, you will enjoy our well-trained horses available for all abilities of riders (minimum age requirement of six years old, maximum weight limit of 300 pounds).

Hourly Trail Rides

Kinni Valley Academy is now offering trail rides in a lesson form. This exciting new feature allows our riders to increase their riding ability as they enjoy our beautiful trails. Focusing on individual attention, our knowledgeable staff will tailor your ride to the abilities of the riders in your group. Beginning riders will benefit from the understanding of the basics: steering, stopping, control and riding position. Intermediate and Advanced riders will be energized by a trail ride that is suited to their riding abilities. Instruction at Kinni Valley is geared to achieving each rider’s goals in a tailored program. We emphasize progressive learning, safety and having fun and pride ourselves on giving our riders the personal attention they expect. Reservations are required.

Equitation Clinics

More than just a trail ride, actually learn to ride as you enjoy our gorgeous scenery. Perfect for company events, church & school groups and family outings. Join us at the Academy for a two hour equitation clinic. Riders enjoy a horsemanship demonstration discussing safety, horse care and equitation (approx. 45 minutes) then saddle up for a fabulous trail ride with instruction along and through the peaceful and scenic Kinnickinnic River. With clinics specially tailored to your group and event, you will enjoy our well-trained horses, almost three miles of trails and our lovely facility. Although we have the ability to handle large groups we are committed to providing individual attention to families and small groups (10 person minimum. Please call to schedule combined bookings for groups under 10 riders). Reservations required.
